What Causes Absence of Relative Pitch?

Hypothesis: Subjects with Lost-Key or Atonal phenotypes will have a measurable defect either in hearing or in encoding/retrieving relative pitch intervals (memory).

The student devised tests to measure hearing and relative pitch memory using a CD of recorded notes played on an accordian. Individuals listened to the recording, then attempted to play back the sequences on an electronic keyboard. Their playback was measured on a chromatic tuner and the results tabulated to achieve a conclusion.
